Jessica DeMartin, Co-Director

Our co-director, Jessica DeMartin brings her 20 year experience with outdoor education, program and risk management to International Alpine Guides. Jessica is a long time Yosemite local, but her favorite place to travel are the Dolomites of Northern Italy, where her family roots run deep. Jessica has a Master’s Degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College, where she studied the ecological impact of wilderness travel on trip participants. She directly oversees this our social and ecological mission as a company and trains staff in this standard. Specifically she devotes time to inspiring youth and women to be active participants in the outdoors, their own heath, and being active stewards of their natural environment.

Jessica is a 15 year veteran instructor for NOLS Wilderness Medicine where she teaches Wilderness Medicine throughout the Yosemite community as well as multiple locations worldwide. She also advises outdoor programs on risk management, and safety training techniques. In addition, Jessica has worked in the past for the Yosemite National Park Search and Rescue, and in Yosemite Medical Clinic currently she works also as an Emergency Room RN.
