We are currently hiring for the following guide positions for the upcoming Summer 2025 season & beyond:
Posted 2/6/25:
Eastern Sierra Based Ski, Rock, Alpine Guide & Avalanche Instructor - Year Round
We are looking for qualified guides to lead guests on ski tours, alpine rock routes as well as teach rock & mountaineering courses in the Sierra Nevada year round from this coming season beginning mid-Dec 2024 through mid-October or longer. This is a full time 10 1/2 month position. AMGA ski, rock & alpine course or above required. WFR required of course. LNT training required (we can help provide this). 4 years professional experience working in avalanche terrain and a Professional Level 1 Avalanche course is a big plus.
We are looking for friendly, flexible and professional individuals who would love to safely guiding our guests in the Eastern Sierra and High Sierra.
We offer a very competitive pay structure that includes:
Some of the highest pay in the industry: $285 to $425 per day depending on level of AMGA training/certification & assignment
Mileage
Benefits for continuing education in the guiding profession, such as help paying for AMGA courses (after two seasons with us)
End of season Bonuses
Opportunity to guide on some of our other terrain such as Tahoe rock and Shasta Glaciers

Mount Shasta Guide - Late April through July or August 2025
We are looking for qualified guides to lead guests up basic alpine snow routes as well as ski descents on Mount Shasta for this coming season from Late April through either end of July or perhaps into August. This is a full time 3+ month position. AMGA alpine skills course or above preffered. WFR required of course. LNT training required (we can help provide this).
We are looking for friendly, flexible and professional individuals who would love to spend the Spring/Summer season safely guiding our guests on beautiful Mount Shasta. This is a perfect first alpine guiding job.
We offer a very competitive pay structure that includes:
Some of the highest pay in the industry: $310 to $425 per day (on overnight trips) depending on level of AMGA training/certification & assignment

At International Alpine Guides we have a strong team of mountain professionals, but are always interested in talking to new faces about joining our team. We are, at times, looking for outdoor professionals who share a love for the mountain lifestyle and are avid climbers, skiers & backpacker/adventurers. We have different categories of guides including:
Alpine Guide
Ice Guide
Rock Climbing Guide
Ski Guide
AAI Avalanche Instructors (Professional level 1 + 4 years working in avalanche terrain.)
Backpacking Guide
We operate at the highest standards in the mountain guiding industry and require our lead guides to have specific training and experience depending on the type of activity and terrain they will be guiding. We believe in the AMGA standard of practice which is scheduled to be fully implemented in 2022 and we plan to require all our guides to be compliant with those standards by then.
