Ben Climbing at red rocks

Ben Lim

Lead Ski, Alpine & Rock Guide
AMGA Ski Guides & Rock Guide Training

Ben grew up in Southern California where he started rock climbing in 2012. He never expected that it would open a whole world of mountain travel to him. He’s lived a life as a climber on the road and a winter ski bum, but eventually found his way into guiding, helping others to achieve their goals in the mountains. He has worked in the mountains of California, Alaska, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Ben is an AMGA Assistant Rock Guide, Apprentice Ski Guide, and is set to complete the Alpine Guide Course this summer. He has completed his Pro 1 Avalanche training and is a wilderness first responder.

Additionally, he earned a BS in Civil Engineering from UCLA and an MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Massachusetts and worked in the heavy civil construction industry for nearly a decade before pursuing a career as a guide.
