Rock Climbing Guide

A native of California, Chris spends the fall/winter season guiding for Vertical Adventures in Joshua Tree National Park and the spring/summer season in the Truckee/Tahoe area. Some of his favorite accomplishments include the Rostrum, and Astroman in Yosemite Valley.

Chris has been rock climbing at Donner Pass and in the Tahoe area for over 30 years and he has a vast knowledge of the local terrain. Additionally he spends a lot of time finding and developing new climbs with many first assents to his credit.

With a passion for teaching, he puts a lot of emphasis on safety, rock anchoring, climbing technique and having a great time on the rock. After a day out with him, you will feel solid about climbing and learn how to make your experience safer and less physically demanding.
