David Court

Lead Alpine, Ski & Trekking Guide
AMGA Ski Guides & Alpine Skills Training

David grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area learning to ski and climb near Lake Tahoe but later refined those skills while living for many years in the French and Swiss Alps where the combined effort of ski-mountaineering took-on a whole new level of intensity.  In the interim, he was able to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara and ultimately received a unique Masters degree in Environmental Science and Management

David has accomplished many of the famous routes in Zermatt, Chamonix and the Dolomites as well as more remote objectives in the Andes, the Canadian Rockies, the Lyngen Alps of Norway, and the Ural Mountains of former Russia. He has also backpacked extensively in the Sierra Nevada - from Tuolumne Meadows to the Golden Trout Wilderness.  Needless to say, the mountains have been a defining element of his character, so he is always enthusiastic about providing guests with a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that embodies the overall alpine experience.

When not skiing or climbing, David is either working at the University with environmental researchers, teaching Weather & Climate at the local community college, or simply spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

David runs a Zermatt, Switzerland ski vacation company, Alpine Exposure.
