YOSEMITE HIGH COUNTRY GRAND TOUR HIKE OVERVIEW
Looking to hike all of the best of the Yosemite backcountry? Then this the ultimate Yosemite hiking tour. This extended grand Yosemite backpacking adventure takes in the least visited and most spectacular mountain vistas in Yosemite National Park. This is a hiking tour for those who want to get deep into the Yosemite wilderness and see Yosemite as John Muir did. Roaring waterfall, majestic granite peaks & lovely alpine lakes. Our Yosemite high country grand hiking tour takes a swath through the beautiful high country while visiting the summit of Clouds Rest. We even have a resupply part way through so you don't have to carry a full 8 days worth of supplies.
After meeting and camping for the night at Tuolumne Meadows in the Yosemite high country, we hike out of Tuolumne Meadows North towards Glen Aulin to camp near and visit the famous waterfalls of the Tuoulmne River such as Waterwheel Falls and California Falls. We then make our way back South again and camp at somewhat "secret" and seldom visited lake. We then make our way towards Clouds Rest apicking up a resupply as we go. We ascend the spectacular Clouds Rest with it's amazing views before continuing on to the Merced River Canyon.
Then we hike onto the remote headwaters of the Merced River where we visit Merced Lake before continuing on to the Vogelsang area and visit another remote lake deep in the Cathedral Range. To complete our loop we hike down into and camp at beautiful Lyell Canyon before finishing up the loop back in Tuolumne Meadows where we began.
Along the way there will be some time for relaxation amid the incredible beauty and quiet of the Yosemite backcountry while enjoying fine backcountry food prepared by your guide and wilderness chef.
We have carefully developed this itinerary to take in the best of Yosemite. Hike the Yosemite High Country with a professional hiking guide and wilderness cook, a wonderful way to experience Yosemite!
